About how much does it cost for my dog to go to some obediance classes?

She bites and she needs to stop! :(
Answers:
When you think of cost, just think of it this way. Whatever you spend on an obeidence class will be cheaper then a lawsuit/medical bills/rise in homeowners insurance/or cost of putting dog to sleep.

Obviously by you posting this you want to do right by your dog.

I strongly suggest you take your dog to a real dog trainer-not a retail pet store -click and treat-trainer.

The obedience classes I have attended to with my dogs have cost $200 for a 10 week class. At the 10th week your dog will be able to perform the AKC Novice Obedience Test. This entails heeling on leash, heeling off leash, coming when called on the first command from 40 feet away (recall) and group sits and stays of 1 and 3 minutes (also off leash)

Again the last thing you want to do is go to these trendy trainers who want your dog to bond to his stomach and not to you.

I am providing you a link to site that will most likely be able to refer you to a trainer in your area.

If you do not see anyone listed I urge you to e mail them and see who they can reccomend.

Best of luck to you and your dog.
Anywhere from $99-$200.
I'm wondering how old the dog is?

When did the biting start?

What happens just prior to the biting?

Sometimes it's not a class or teacher a dog needs, but a good medical check up. Is there a chance she is hurt? Or sick?
Is she doing anything eles not normal?

Think about it all before jumping the gun and thinking she needs schooling.

I wish you could reply back. I'd love to help you more if I could.
Hmmm...is your pet biting because it is mad or because it is nipping at things? Does your pet growl before biting, or is she just playing? Who is your pet biting (children = show of dominance). It is really important to nip biting quickly because if your dog is biting agressively that is really a problem. To answer your question...classes vary widely depending on the type of class and where you live. Classes start at about $15.00 for a group class and go up to $100.00 per hour for a specialist.
Depends on where you live. In New York, it might be $120, where as in western Illinois, it's only $30.
Prices vary considerably in different parts of the country and also within communities. Sometimes you will find an animal control or even a veterinarian sponsor free puppy classes during the warm weather because they will teach the classes outdoors and not have to rent a building.

My first ever obedience class was in Chicago way back in 1981 and ran me $85 but it also included several supplies required for the class. Today my local community 100 miles from Chicago charges $55 at the local dog training school.
