Any websites that explain differences in the pitbull bloodlines bred today? (i.e. Razor's Edge, Gotty etc.)

My husband and I have an opportunity to invest in an up and coming kennel. I am doing research and would like to learn more about the different bloodlines that are used in todays breeding, their differences, sililarities etc. Being the proud owner of 2 Cane Corsos, our very pampered pets, who we thoroughly researched before we chose the breeder, I can say that health and temperment were, and still are, our priorities when choosing any animal. I would like to apply the same atttitude when helping to choose a pitbull puppy. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

if you ask me alot of the certain lines look about the same but it seems the blue color or color, all the dogs I see breed for looks are huge with huge heads, but are those pits really worth 1000 dollars? These kennels seem ok and have really nice looking animals but once again they cost too much

yes there is a great difference in bloodlines, Gotti bloodline is not any good, reason?, it's bred for color and size, not temperament, ability or health, I've owned Pitbulls for the last 46 years and these new fad bloodlines (if that's what they really are) are crap, these are the type of dogs that ruining the Pitbulls reputation as "The Nanny Dog", old style breeders such as Colby (the oldest and purest bloodline anywhere for any breed) culled the inferior dogs and man-biters, remember the pitbull has been bred to fight for the last 200 years, and dog that bites humans would not be tolerated, they had to be handled in the Pit in the heat of battle and never bite the handlers, if they did the dog was putdown as soon as the match was over, this weeded out inferior dogs and those of unsound temperment, these fad breeders of today are just looking to make some money, selling anything that's born with no regard to what this animal will turn out to be, there are nearly 20,000 unwanted Pitbulls being putdown monthly in America...WHY CONTRIBUTE TO THE PROBLEM?, want a good pure bred Pit as a house animal and you need papers.go see Louis Colby in Newburyport Mass. or Bert Sorrells in Ponce De Leon Fla., these are the best in the world...and yes there dogs are GAME BRED and usually grow to be animal aggressive, but they are true Pitbulls, pure bloodlines for generations, and people FRIENDLY.especially with CHILDREN, and if you dont need papers...go to a shelter before another good dog gets the needle...Rich
