Anyone a vet?

i have an 8 week old chocolate lab and i know that when you switch dry food some times their poop isnt real solid...but my poor puppy has dihrea i feel so bad what can i do...?
Answers:
Stop being cheap. It is his RIGHT by law to receive proper medical attention. Denying him that is abuse, and you can be cited by an Animal Control Officer - and for good reason. Too many people get pets, then whine about having to take them to the vet. If you can't afford to properly take care of them, you shouldn't have them. Now go do the right thing.
8 Weeks? If you switched food already, just stick to it for 2 weeks and the diarrhea will go away, be sure to give plenty of water during this time.
Has the puppy had its first checkup with a Vet? Take him in and have him checked, standard shots, and blood tests need to be done at 8 weeks or so.
No, but i'd be cool to be one. Except having to see animals that can sometimes go crazy. thanx for the two points!
What food did you switch to? Food should be switched gradually but if you just went from bad to poorer or bad to bad then its just a normal reaction.
Call a real vet.
There's none here and diarrhea is serious in a pup.
I am not a vet, but I have done extensive research on dog nutrition. Firstly did u switch food gradually,i.e. first day give 25% new food 75% old food do this for 3 days then 50%/50% for the next few days, then 75% new 25% old for 3 more days untill finally you can give it 100% of teh new stuff...
if the dog still continues to have diarrhea for over 2 days in a row it could have a food sensitivity to what u are feeding it...some common food alergens are wheat, corn, chicken, beef etc. If you have rules all thsi out already it could mean a more serious condition eg. intestinal parasites or worse in this case you will actually have to visit your vet
No but I wish I was just call the vet sometimes they can help you without bringing your dog in. Best of luck.
You're supposed to mix wet with dry and transition her.
He needs shots anyway this week, so when you take him in ask. You should never switch the dogs food overnight, There are directions on the bag for how to do it properly. Diarreah can kill a dog so young, so the sooner you get to the vet the better,
He needs to be seen by a vet in your area. There are many things that can cause diarrhea in a puppy and the vet is the only one that can run the proper tests that need to be done. They'll most likely check for parasites like coccidia and do a complete physical. Diarrhea in a puppy is nothing to mess around with. They can get dehydrated really quickly and it can become a life or death mater. Get to the vet ASAP. Good Luck
if you didn't switch slowly over 10 days it can cause diahrrea. This puppy can become severely dehydrated so needs to be watched closely %26 taken to the vet if it persists more than a day. It will need IV fluids if it does.

he needs to go to the vet anyway for a check up. Could also be interanl parasites causing it.

If he starts vomiting he could have the beginning of parvo %26 that is a crisis.

give him a tablespoon of plain yogurt every day %26 put him on a bland diet of boiled rinsed chicken %26 boiled rice, mostly rice %26 mashed sweet potatoes for 4 - 5 days, then very gradually start to add his kibble.
First off, you do not switch foods all at one time. This has to be a gradual change when switching foods. Also, you should take this pup to the vet for a stool sample check. Have the stool checked for coccidia (which will come out more when a dog is stressed) and giardia. The pup might need to be treated for one or both of these. Also, have him checked for worms. More than just roundworms. Hookworms can cause loose stool's and poor condition in a puppy.
