Do they do good in the heat I do not live in a cold climate.
Answers:
Neither breed should be exposed to the severe temps of the SW. (I live in Az). They florish in cooler climes. The 'Sibe' is a very active breed %26 loves to work. Normally they don't make very good house dogs because of this, but there are exceptions. The Malamute is a much more laid back breed %26 are quite affectionate. They also have a lot of hair %26 thus shed a lot. If I did't live in Az, I would consider the Malamute as I have always been fascinated by them. Good luck.
Probably not the best dog for the desert, but if you can keep them inside during the heat of the day and do your walking in the evening or first thing in the morning you would be fine.
Huskies get bored much easier and are troublesome. Mals are very friendly. However, if you give them adequate shade and plenty of water, they do fine. Never tsut their coats, but you cant trim it if they get too hot. but hopefully it never comes to that.
they will do fine. On a hot day just make sure they have shelter plenty of water etc.
They blow there coat %26 a your not suppose to have them off a lead due to there pray instinct.

Does owning a dog suit my life-style?
A good owner must train the dog thoroughly in the basic commands and supply it with daily love, attention, adequate housing, and an outlet for its energy. The Siberian husky is not a good breed for those who work long hours and leave their pets alone. To thrive, Siberians need companionship. They also need ample space and a good dose of exercise. Owners must make a lifelong commitment, meaning plenty of personal attention and daily walks for approximately the next ten years.
Can I properly care for a Siberian husky?
A husky can be quite expensive to maintain. Aside from the initial purchase price, which can range anywhere from $300 to more than $1,000, an owner must supply routine veterinary care and an ample, nutrious diet. Such costs are considerable and constant throughout the dog's life.
Is a puppy wanted by everyone in the household?
Despite good intentions, owners sometimes find that other family members view the household pet...especially a puppy.as a nuisance. This usually spells disaster for the dog, so think carefully and discuss how owning a dog may affect the existing household routine with all members of the home before you commit to pet ownership.
Do I really want a puppy?
Puppies require a significant amount of attention, monitoring, and training while young. They will need frequent walks and access to the outside during the housebreaking process. There will be "accidents"; there may be damage from chewing. An older dog may be more appropriate for those who cannot be home during he day.
If you have answered "yes" to all the preceding questions...the search for you puppy can begin!
i have one as long as they have shade or somewehre to cool and have water to play in they wil be fine
